Zagreb, 1st of February 2006 – A newly registered Foundation «For truth about Croatian Homeland War» has been presented to the public today. The purpose of the Foundation, as stated in the founding act, is:
- support of activities that contribute to maintaining and propagating the truth about Croatian Homeland War,

- support of scientific research of Croatian Homeland War as a legitimate resistance towards aggression on the Republic of Croatia,
- support of education of Croatian Homeland War veterans' children.
Numerous initiatives which were started in the homeland and Diaspora to help defend Croatian generals have resulted in founding the Foundation, whose formal founders are Ms. Dunja Zloić-Gotovina, Staff Brigadier (“stožerni brigadir”) Željko Hučić and Mayor of Pakoštane Mr. Milivoj Kurtov. This way, a large number of spontaneous initiatives are joined together in one legal, organized, completely transparent and professionally managed institution.

Thanking the members of the Board and many other persons that have helped in establishing the Foundation, the founders stress that due to a very large interest, other Foundation bodies and types of active participation in its functioning will be formed. Further, the founders would like to thank Croatian state institutions for helping to register the Foundation and to all other activities through which they will contribute to achieving the Foundation's purpose.
All-Croatian unity, deflection from daily political and political parties' rivalry, and business transparency are cornerstone principles guiding the Foundation and its actions. In addition to the legally defined institutions that regularly monitor all foundations' work, the founders have requested that the Foundation's financial transactions be additionally monitored by a top international auditing firm and the reports be available to the public.
